Toyota GR Supra ARD Prepreg Race Front Lip (ADRO Bumper) 2020+

This ARD race front lip is for Supras already running ADRO's widebody front bumper. It's the version to buy if you've converted the front end. If your car is still on the factory bumper, choose the Stock Bumper version instead. We can confirm which one suits your car.

What is ARD?

ARD is ADRO Racing Division, the company's motorsport engineering arm, aimed at cars that spend real time on track. Each ARD part is developed in CFD and tested on track before it goes on sale. ADRO's head of aerodynamics, Scott, comes from a Formula 1 development background and leads ARD's work. The GR Supra ARD Aero Package is one of the first complete systems from ARD.

The Front Splitter

Most front splitters are flat panels. They add some visual aggression, generate a modest amount of downforce at the nose, and leave everything else to chance. The ARD front splitter is designed around a different idea: that the front of the car isn't just a downforce source — it's the starting point of a complete aerodynamic strategy that has to be managed all the way to the rear diffuser.

How It Works

The upper vanes shape the air over the outer splitter and feed the vortices in the endplate tunnels underneath. The lower strakes stop air spilling off the sides of the splitter, so more of it does useful work. The F1-inspired endplates initiate strategic vortex generation down the car's sides, working with the V2 sideskirts to extract more air and drive more flow under the front end.

The raised central section feeds directly into the six mid-floor undervanes and delivers clean, conditioned flow to the rear diffuser, while significantly reducing pitch sensitivity, so the car's aero behavior stays predictable when braking, accelerating, or running over elevation changes on track.

As part of the complete ARD Aero Package (in ADRO bumper configuration), the system generates 2148N (483 lbs) of downforce at 180 km/h, a 1618% increase over the GR Supra's stock 125N, with a gain of +2023N (455 lbs) and a 45/55 front-to-rear balance.

Material

All ARD parts are made in prepreg carbon fibre. Prepreg carbon comes with the resin already impregnated into the fibre in controlled conditions, so the resin is spread evenly through the whole part. That makes the panel lighter and stiffer, without weak or resin-heavy patches that could delaminate under sustained load.

On track, that's about more than looks. A splitter that bends under load won't make the downforce it was designed for. Prepreg removes that problem. The part delivers what the CFD predicted, lap after lap, even when hot and under sustained load.
