The Alpha-N CSL Carbon Trunk Lid is designed to fit the BMW 3 Series G20 2019+ (pre-facelift G20.1 and facelift G20.2) and the BMW M3 G80 Sedan 2021+, and is available in Australia through SL Autowerkes. Developed and manufactured in Germany by Alpha-N Performance, a brand with deep roots in BMW motorsport, this carbon fibre trunk lid takes direct inspiration from BMW's legendary CSL design language.
The integrated ducktail profile sharpens the rear of the G20 and G80 with a more purposeful look while contributing to improved aerodynamic balance. The sculpted ducktail spoiler generates additional rear downforce at speed, eliminating the need for a separate trunk-mounted spoiler and creating a clean, motorsport-ready aesthetic.
Constructed entirely from pre-preg 2x2 twill carbon fibre sourced from Italy and produced in an autoclave, the trunk lid significantly reduces rear mass compared to the factory steel panel — improving overall balance and chassis response during spirited driving and track use. Each lid installs using the factory mounting locations with original BMW hardware transferred across, ensuring OEM-level fitment and structural integrity. Vehicles equipped with the factory electric tailgate will require conversion.
Each lid is supplied in a raw carbon finish and requires professional paint preparation or clear coat prior to installation. Alpha-N components contain no cosmetic fillers or heavy resin layers — just pure pre-preg carbon construction for maximum rigidity at minimal weight.
This is a genuine Alpha-N part, covered by Alpha-N's manufacturer warranty, with local support from us in Adelaide.
